For a small investment I have a suitable place to mount my work, a neutral background and will be sure to present my work in a professional surrounding.

Pinning your quilt to the board depends a lot on the size of your quilt. The larger it is the heavier it will be. For smaller quilts use pins that blend into the background where ever possible. Otherwise you can use regular small pins in the very corner. There are times when you might have to push the pin into the board from the back corners of the quilt. You would do this when your quilt is larger and you must use larger pins to support the weight of the quilt or if the pins clash with the quilt too much and you don’t want them to be seen at all.

If you are going to take the time to make a quilt, enter it in a venue, then you should take the time to make sure you take a good picture. No matter how small the show, remember that that photo represents you, you the artist, so think about what you want your images to say about you?

You would be surprised how much just taking care of these things will improve the quality of your photos.

Remember your photo represents you out there in the jurying process, make it count!
