Goddesses, dragons, mythical beings and other spiritual symbols have sparked the  imagination of people through out the world for thousands of years. From Kings and other rulers of the world to the everyday people who toil in the fields, mythical beingshave provided guidance, safety from harm and spiritual inspiration.

I am a paraplegic as the result of a spinal injury over 35 years ago. Perhaps it was my own search for new meaning and a sense of healing that drew me to wanting too pay tribute to the symbols that seemed to have allot of positive energy. I chose to re- create them in the fiberarts media because I love the sensuality and the energy of textiles.

   
  
   
     
     
     
   
I was born in Tulare, California, in 1949 and moved to a small town in the foothills above Chico ,Ca., called Paradise in 1995, And, in its own way, it is truly a Paradise;with its small town atmosphere, its many pine trees and the wild creatures that come to visit, it's easy to imagine that goddesses, dragons and other mythical beings exist among the trees in the moonlight, or on those misty, rainy days in the woods.

Each piece of my art begins sketch and a lot of research to determine how I will interpret the subject. I take considerable time to see how each part of the whole will fit with the next part-not just visually, but spiritually. I dye and paint a lot of the fabric myself and embellish many pieces heavily usually making my own beads and other embellishments. I meditate on each piece often, contacting the spirits associated with each one for direction and advice. If some part of the piece isn't right I take it off and start over.

Working on these pieces is indeed a sacred ritual for me.

I've done commissions as well as sold pieces while in gallery and traveling exhibitions. I can create a special quilt, a spirit bag or beads for you. It may takes several months to complete a piece, however, it has to feel completely right to me, and you, or I'm not satisfied.

I talk to each client to find out everything I can that's important to you - relationships, health issues, protection and spiritual inclinations. I meditate and do a great deal of research to determine the exact symbols and talismans determine the exact symbols and talismans that should work best for you . As I work on the piece, I put a lot positive energy into it too create a strong energy force to protect and heal the spirit, as well as purely to provide pleasure to  the senses.
